Fiber Arts
Fiber art is where my work slows down and gets tactile. It’s the part of my practice that asks for patience, rhythm, and a little trust in the process. I work primarily with cross-stitch and crochet, creating designs that are meant to be enjoyable to make and satisfying to return to—whether you’re stitching one quiet evening at a time or diving into a project all at once.
My fiber work often begins the same way my illustrations do: as drawings. Motifs, shapes, and small ideas move from sketchbook to chart or pattern, where they can be built stitch by stitch. I love the translation that happens along the way—how a line becomes a grid, how color choices matter differently, how repetition creates texture and movement.
Cross-stitch is a central part of my fiber practice. I design stitch patterns and original pieces with an emphasis on clarity, charm, and approachability. My goal is always to create patterns that feel friendly and encouraging, whether you’re newer to stitching or have been at it for years. I’m especially drawn to designs that feel cozy, a little playful, and quietly rewarding to make.
Alongside cross-stitch, I also design crochet patterns. Crochet lets me think in a more sculptural way, building forms and textures that feel soft, flexible, and comforting. Designing crochet patterns taps into a different creative rhythm, but the heart of the work is the same: thoughtful design, clear instructions, and a finished piece that feels good in your hands.
What ties all of my fiber work together is a love of process. I’m less interested in rushing toward a finished object and more interested in the experience of making—choosing colors, settling into repetition, and watching something slowly come together. Fiber arts are where my illustration practice becomes physical, time-based, and deeply grounding.
Below you’ll find a selection of my fiber art and pattern work, including cross-stitch and crochet projects. Some pieces are finished works, others are designed to be made and remade by many hands. That shared making is part of what I love most.
